This one starts out with what was probably a really awesome concert. As you can see I kind of blended the album covers together. I’m assuming that since these were the albums that were released in 1977 by the two bands Mom saw that the tours were in support of them. I guess I could be wrong, unlike Mom I’ve never been much of a concert goer. Both bands are still touring too, you can check them out here:
Doobie Brothers & Pablo Cruise
The 1977 World Series happened during this time as well with the Yankees beating the Dodgers in six games. Both grampas had birthdays too. Mat and I discuss how old they were and I’m pretty sure they were the same age so they both would have turned 46 on there respective birthdays. I could be wrong though, I’ve got a nagging suspicion that Grampa Cornwell was a year younger. Mom briefly mentioned a song she said was called “Wild Flower”. I had a hard time figuring out if I found the right one and I’m still not really sure I do have the right song, but here’s a song title “Wildflower” by Skylark. Can someone let me know if I’m right or wrong on this one?
October 9, 1977 – November 4, 1977
We start this episode talking about the Doobie Brothers/Pablo Cruise concert in Pullman, WA in 1977. Then the Yankees beat the Dodgers in the World Series and Mat poops in the tub. Both Grampas have birthdays (I believe they were the same age so they should have been 46 here) and Mom says she’s going to write a book. Apparently not the one you are currently a listener of either. We end it by talking about another concert, Steve Miller this time, and Mom helps a friend move… twice.
