Mom starts her journal and talks about why she’s doing it. She does a lot of speculation, mostly as to what her new baby will be like and how she’ll be as a mother. She also talks a little bit about how her and Dad got together. She also give some insight into what type of parent she’ll become through a poem she copied from one of her favorite books.

I knew you’d be listening, thanks! I was pretty sure I had your daughter’s name right. I just wasn’t 100% positive on it. Plus we’re trying to edit out last names as we go. I think maybe we should write name-edited scripts before we read. Might help.

I knew (your mom) Kendra in jr high and high school. She was her own person and a free spirit. I am friends with your uncle Phil and found out about her passing through him and Facebook. I’m sorry for your loss. She was much too young to leave her family and friends. She had such a beautiful spirit. I always thought it was funny how Phil and her were so very different. He was more of the cowboy type and she, like me, was more of the hippie type. I am enjoying the podcast. Thank you

This reminds me of the Canadian movie: The Stories We Tell by Sarah Polley about her mom (also passed) and her life. I LOVE this concept! Great job, guys, thanks for the invitation to listen, and for sharing your mom with the world. Good luck with the podcast, you are off to a great start!

Thanks Candi, make sure you check out Episode 18. It’s an interview with Robin and John. Kind of hard to hear at times because we only had one mic in their living room but it was still a lot of fun to get together and talk about everything.
